We celebrated Halloween with 51 trunks and 150 volunteers in costumes for our Cool Kids. The Townson University Basketball Team, Cheerleaders, Fusion Dance Club, and Child Life Club decorated their trunks. Awards were given to the trunks that fulfilled the following categories: Best Overall, Spook-tacular, Fa-BOO-las, Scariest, and Funniest. The families had fun traveling from trunk to trunk in a safe and supportive environment. We had a pumpkin patch, so the kids could pick and decorate a pumpkin. Halloween themed Stem Projects were run by Minority Association of Pre-Medical from Townson University allowing the kids to have fun while engaging in an educational activity.
“Events like our Trunk-or-Treat give our Cool Kids and their siblings an opportunity to forget about cancer and just have fun being kids. We are so grateful to Highs of Baltimore for letting us use their parking lot and to all the volunteers who come out to make this night so special,” said Renee Wooding, Executive Director of Cool Kids Clubhouse.
