LAKE NORMAN’S LARGEST ARTS & MUSIC FESTIVAL

The ‘Tawba Walk Arts & Music Festival is a family-friendly street festival located in Old Town Cornelius in the heart of the downtown district. The event primarily takes place in two locations, Oak Street Mill and Cornelius Town Hall. Guests are also encourage to take a stroll along Catawba Ave. and visit the area’s many unique and exciting businesses! The ‘Tawba Walk features two stages of live bands, multiple food truck courts, local craft breweries, art demonstrations, community performances, kids activities and over 100 local artists, craftsmen and businesses. We hope to see you at the next event!

GIVING BACK

Each year, the ‘Tawba Walk partners with a local charitable cause here in our community to be the beneficiary of alcohol sales from the event. A portion of the beverage sales proceeds will benefit Cool Kids Clubhouse!

ARE DOGS ALLOWED?

Absolutely! ‘Tawba Walk is dog-friendly and we encourage you to bring all your friendly canine companions! Just be sure to clean up after them if they happen to make a mess!

WHERE DO I PARK?

Parking is available at Cornelius Elementary, CATS parking lot on Highway 115, behind Oak Street Mill, and throughout the downtown where parking is designated.

Will there be food? 

There are plenty of excellent food options for everyone to enjoy at this year’s ‘Tawba Walk! From tacos and burgers to dumplings, BBQ, lobster rolls and even Vegan cuisine, we’ve got you covered! With over a dozen unique food options, you’re sure to find the perfect fit for even the pickiest of eaters!

CAN WE BUY ALCOHOL?

Yes, alcohol is available for purchase at the ‘Tawba Walk, however there are some important rules regarding the use of alcohol at the event:

-EVERYONE must provide an I.D. regardless of age.
-Alcoholic beverages CANNOT cross Catawba Ave. and must be finished and thrown away before crossing. Law enforcement may issue tickets for anyone in violation of this rule so please follow the rules accordingly.
-You MUST be 21 years of age to drink any alcoholic beverages in any part of the event.
-Guest may NOT bring in their own alcohol.
